Hi food enthusiasts and people who just love scrumptious food. You’ve come to the right place if you’re looking for delectable American, Trinidadian and West Indian dishes. I will also focus on a lot of spicy food for all you pepper lovers.
My passion for cooking has developed since I was a little girl. I experimented with food while my parents were at work and created some weird shaped and tasting dishes. However, at 10 years old I perfected the art of making Sada Roti with Sardine Choka. When I realized how much I loved and enjoyed cooking, I started trying out new dishes. I distinctly remember whatever I cooked and however horrible it tasted, my dad would eat it lovingly and say ” Wow this is soooo good, you have any more?”, and he would also take it to work and boast to his co-workers.
I am a very private and quiet person, so starting a blog was not one of the first things that came to mind. I moved to New York recently and my friends over here have been constantly begging me to start a blog or YouTube channel, so I finally caved in. Go check out my YouTube channel, Taste of Trini to see all my videos. If you are West Indian or you simply just want to learn different styles of cooking, then this is the place for you.
Please feel free to send me your recipe requests and dishes you would like to see featured on my blog. I will start posting recipes soon! Stay tuned food lovers! I am more active on my YouTube channel, so head over there to see all the action!
Fact: Do you know the Guinness Book of Records named the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Pepper the hottest pepper in the world?
